Our Advice Process

Insight Private Wealth has 7 simple steps in developing personal strategic advice and planning for your future.

Step 1 – Brief Initial Discussion

We have a brief initial discussion with you to determine your needs and to arrange a meeting with a Senior Financial Consultant.

Step 2 – Preparing For Your Meeting

Upon scheduling your first meeting, we will send you an Information Pack, including:

  • A meeting confirmation letter
  • A map of our location
  • Information about parking arrangements and transportation
  • A brief questionnaire designed to capture some basic personal details. The questionnaire will also help you to collect your thoughts on the issues you’d like advice on and help you collate the information you will need for your meeting.

Step 3 – The 1st Meeting

This first meeting is at no cost or obligation, and is ideally with you and your spouse or partner.

In this meeting, we discuss the matters most important to you and gain a detailed understanding of your personal goals and aspirations.

We then discuss how you may achieve your goals and deal with the various technical issues and complexities you faced, which may include family structures, taxation, superannuation, investing and risk management and effective estate planning matters.

Any cost you may need to incur in planning for your future are also discussed … so there are no surprises!

Step 4 – Strategy Development and Presentation

Following our initial meeting, we then develop our strategic advice and document our recommendations for you in a “Statement of Advice”. Some of the key objectives may be to reduce tax, provide an income, build and preserve your capital for your long term retirement benefit.

We then invite you back into our office to present our advice document to you, which will include independent research on your recommended investment portfolio.

We go through the detailed strategic advice with you and answer any question you may have. If required, we will “fine turn” our advice with any additional information you might provide.

We also discuss the implementation process and introduce you to the team who will be working with you … so you get to know the names and faces to the personalised service we offer.

You then take the Statement of Advice home with you, so you can consider the recommendations in your own time. There is no pressure to proceed.

Step 5 – Implementation

Once you are comfortable to proceed, we will assist you by completing the required paperwork and lodge this on your behalf.

No investment cheques are ever made payable to Insight Private Wealth, as investments are held through trust structures in the client name, for client protection.

Through the implementation process, we keep you informed with progress updates.

Step 6 – Post Implementation Meeting

We prefer to meet with you at this time to ensure that you remain comfortable with all the implemented recommendations. We review the investment confirmation notices you will receive, ensuring you have access to your accounts and assisting you to set up your secure internet access portal.

You can then expect to receive easy to understand valuation statements, reports and updates with regard to your investment portfolio on an ongoing basis.

Step 7 – Ongoing Review Meetings

We believe an important part of achieving your personal goals and aspirations are our ongoing review meetings.

As agreed, we meet with our clients regularly to undertake comprehensive reviews of your personal circumstances, measuring progress against your personal goals and make recommendations for change, as needed. This is done whilst maintaining a disciplined investment approach in-line with your personal long term objectives.

It should be noted that we do not accept any initial or exit commissions on any client investment, and there is no additional fee charged for any changes made to client’s strategy or investment portfolios.

In addition to your face-to-face meeting, you will also receive:

  • Periodic e-Newsletters
  • Economic updates
  • Latest legislative changes that may affect you
  • Invitations to Client Briefings
